Well, here we are on April 3rd! A wet, heavy snow pushing our branches down, similar to the November, 2010 pics in an earlier blog.
Luckily, I got 2 yds of the forest bark spread Saturday before the snow came. The tulip foliage is about 6" but you can't see due to snow. With the moisture and fertilizer, once we get some warm weather, this yard and garden will take off. However, once again we're going to miss the high point of the tulips - France calls! Tough duty, but someone --
Good old crazy Utah weather. I got hailed on while waiting in line for race packets in DC yesterday, but we had maybe 30 seconds of actual snow-like precipitation. Not quite enough to turn K Street into a river, I don't think.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile....it's lovely and somewhere in the mid 80's here today. Well at least you're getting some moisture! We're 2" behind on rainfall so far this year!
ReplyDeleteI had a shirt when I was really little that said, "I survived the floods of '83!" Of course, I don't remember it, but everyone always talked about the river running through down town.... Hope it doesn't happen again!
